Over 40 ft. requires Class "B" non commercial license in California.
Thanks for the info. I thought only the Tag required it.
I think that maybe a 35' to 38' foot would be more practical. It is just when I heard driving a tag would be a dream, I kinda fell in love. So now, I might just have to find the best driving most stable Mh in that range.
Also, when I saw that the CCC on a larger MH could be like 10,000lbs whereas some smaller DP's only had a CCC of 2500lbs.
Well, I'm glad I found that out. Maybe a 35 would be sufficient, for a few months at a time...
Don't make the mistake of going too small. I have a 35 foot DP and I got specifically because I wanted to be able to access more places. In the 10 years I've owned it I don't think I've ever been anyplace I couldn't have also gone to in a 38 footer, and only a handful I couldn't have got into with a 40 footer. 45 footers do have a lot more restrictions. If I were in the market for a new motorhome I'd get a 40 footer. No worry about having a special license and no worry about road restrictions. Remember most tour buses are 45 five feet long and look at all the places they go. The biggest restriction isn't the roads, it's the campsites.
