The part I hate is when the CC will re-issue a new card because of the CC number being compromised at a retailer (not our fault). The CC company will 'next day' a new CC where ever we are. Sometimes things just happen.

If they don't reissue a new card then the old card (or number) that is in the hands of thieves, stays valid.
I know, but it's still an inconvenience but I understand it and take it in stride. It's just the world we live in today.
