I could not figure any way of lifting the front of a Prius like I do the back of my SUV. Since the car is drive-able I did not feel the need to lift it. I also did not want 4+ feet of stuff sticking out the back when needing to use a short CG site. The Prius front axle weighs 1650 which is less than what I pick up in "How I tow" below. I already installed the two extra receivers so just had to make the rest. Had all of the metal in stock so had to buy the straps, wheels and boards.
Why do something like this? Pretty good question... partly to prove I can and once you've had the freedom of being able to backup it's hard to go to a dolly.
