Limiting large vehicles to 68 MPH

If you read the actual NSHA proposal it seems that the whole max speed thing is based on tire safety. It stated that all truck tires have a max speed rating of 75 mph and a large percentage of accidents involving trucks and buses stem from driving at or over the speed rating. This seems to have prompted them to consider a max speed for commercial vehicles less than the tire ratings.
Based on that reasoning the ruling seems reasonable...at least on the surface and would not involve private coaches.
