Yeah - question's been answered now. But use an infra-red temperature measurement device, and point it at that sensor, and you can confirm if your thermostat is working correctly or not. Temp readings should be close to the same between the two.

It looks like it's a Coleman Mach 8330-5191 Room Sensor
