I have a gasser. It is not very cool driving with both AC units on, unless the dash air is on. I am looking at a Diesel Pusher (Dutch Star) and the dash air doesn't cool. I have heard this is common. ...

Are you talking BTU's???? If so, not even close. The BTU of a MOTORHOME Dash AC unit is about 11,500 to 13,500 BTU. The DSDP he is looking at has a total of 30,000 BTU of Roof air if 2 units and 45,000 btu if it has 3 roof AC units. Class A Motorhome Dash AC systems are designed JUST for the Dash compartment.
