If so, start the engine and try to bring in the slide. The extra few volts from the running alternator can be a big help to that motor as it tries to lift and move the heavy slide.
If that works, then I would do some snooping and look for loose/burned grounds and/or power wires. It could also be a sign that your batteries are getting old or require some maintenance.

If it's electric it depends on how it's wired. Our slides won't move when the key is turned.
