- skipncharExplorerFor what it's worth, the old myth about sugar in the tank is VASTLY over stated. It probably does MORE damage to a diesel than a gas engine however but not sure why anyone would be out to get you that way. Doesn't the newer super duties have the NASCAR type fuel system like the F 150 has? IF so there IS no fuel cap but it would require extra effort to pour anything into the fuel tank.

Question. Why waste the money. If they want your fuel, they will just stick an ice in the bottom of the tank and then you have no fuel and need a new gas tank. JMO.
It isn't what they may take out of your tank. it is what someone may put into your tank besides gas. - MonroeJimExplorerThanks for the quick responses. I'll try O'Reilly's this morning.
.I'm less concerned about theft than some idiot pouring sugar into the tank. There are people here in northern CA who literally hate RVs (and large vehicles in general). Why make it easy for them? - powderman426ExplorerQuestion. Why waste the money. - fourmatExplorerMost Napa or Advanced carry Stant you may have to bring yours in to match up but its the same filler neck style they use on all chassis
- Take your existing cap to places like O'reilly's or auto zone. They should have a cap.
