Moon I had $200 of gas stolen last week. How would I apply the alarm to my door so it would not alarm when vehicle in motion? If you have a photo or instructions they are appreciated.

How about putting a battery operated door/window alarm on your fuel tank hatch. Scaring them off is preferable to a lock in my opinion. A lock will not wake you and all your neighbors up to witness the theives (who may have already siphoned out some of your neighbors fuel). I like these and have bought some (sold individually in some DollarTree Stores) to alarm some openings. http://www.dollartree.com/catalog/search.cmd?form_state=searchForm&keyword=door%20alarm They are a cheap alarm and I don't have to worry about losing the generic 751 key!
These alarms are usually pretty small and should fit inside the filler door. One part goes on the backside of the filler door that swings open and the other part goes on the RVs sidewall. They each have a magnet in them and can sense when the 2 magnets lose touch with each other. WHen that happens, the alarm sounds. Motion has nothing to do with this type of alarm. You disarm it by a small switch on the main unit. Assuming a thief doesn't know that... we're all set!
I think that these alarms coupled with 2 locking fuel caps will stop further pilfering of our fuel.
