I've been advised by a good friend that if I was to buy a motor home and had a choice between the International/Navistar MaxxForce 7 or the Cummins 6.7 that it would be wise for me to avoid the Navist...

Navistar just leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Yes most likely Ford engineers were to blame for the 6 doh and 6.4 issues but none the less Navistar was the engine builder.
And a non DEF engine trying to keep up with the EPA will be a problem child. Don't matter the brand, it will clog up in time.
