This is a heads up on the Atwood hot water heater. I got back from a trip and was doing some work on the rig. I removed the plastic drain plug and a lot of stuff came out with the water, so it really needed draining. When I put the drain plug back in, it broke off leaving most of the plastic plug inside the treaded drain. It took me over an hour to get the plastic out of the drain without messing up the treads.
I went to the rv parts and they related that they see that a lot because the plastic plug is hollow and gets brittle due to the heat over time. They related the plastic plug needs to be replaced every few years.
