Mine kept doing the same as yours, sluggish and felt like I was pulling a house for a toad. My mileage also dropped to about 6. I never could see any burned spots on the wires but the ohm meter told me which was bad, usually cyl. 5 or 7. Setting at idle you could hear a little pop in the exaust pipe. The Taylor wires are huge and have heat insulators at the plugs.
