Plant Tours
Pat just click the link above it will take you to Fleetwoods web site for plant tour information.
Still at Fleetwood no real information to report tonight. They have been working on the coach since 8 this morning they left at around 5 this afternoon. Will start again at 8AM. Dash bolts fixed (3 1/2 inches in from the front is a metal bar on mine half the screws were put in at an angle and missed the bar, they replaced all the screws with larger screws and added two more per side. No horn solution (tomorrow they pull the horns and wires they think it is the connector in the roof cap) Have power to horn wires behind lefthand overhead drivers speakers, no power at horns.
The engineer that designed Fleetwoods fullwall slide is working on our slide (tools in hand). The engineer and reasearch assistant that built the first 04/05 design, out of wood in 1999 (said it was modeled after the Revolution), are also physically working on our rig. I don't know what I did but one of the reasearch assistants said in 19 years this is the first personal coach he has seen in the R&D shop. One of the electrical engineers that are working on the horn solution said a customers coach in this department is very rare. The R&D Engineering Manager has just been promoted to his position maybe things are changing. He said they are not an automobile factory. Rvs are a lot different than cars and need a different type of service.
Hope this is of some help or intrest to some. Soon as I get out of here I will let you know the outcome.
