I am going to insulate the engine cover in my '05 Pace 36D/Workhorse 24 and I decided to use the materials noted by a letter to MotorHome mag in the Oct '06 issue (OK so I'm behind in my reading). I was shocked to find that Fleetwood put no sound insulation whatsoever on this cover. I was going to order some of the 1" American Mat product http://www.soundproofingamerica.com/america-mat.asp
when I thought, why don't I buy more of this stuff and put some in the generator enclosure. I was really disappointed when I heard how loud the Onan is. I thoght they would have figured out how to quiet the thing down by now. You can barely hear the generator in the diesel pushers.
Anybody have any thoughts on insulating the generator enclosure?
Anyone find a convenient source for the all weather foil tape?
