I had put in the 12 volts fans but everytime I turned around I had to replace them. I got two small 110 volt fans and mounted them behind the refrigerator. I don't use the ice marker so I used the ice markers 110V plug then connected it to a on/off switch mounted so it is hidden outside on the refrig vent. That way I can turn them on and off as I need to. The 110V fans really blows the air behind the refrig and out the top vent.
Have no idea what the 12V hot wires are there for. But glad to know they are there if needed.
