Hi all, well a little news for y'all (<-- notice southern accent) I'm in Albany, GA for the night after having to spend an extra day in Brunswick, GA (more on Brunswick in a minute) due to an internal failure of the left front Atwood Leveleg. While in Savannah on Tybee Island, I lowered my jacks and the leg just slid all the way down. The bride told me it had just slid down to the ground while lowering all the jacks. I went outside and was able to lift the leg up and down with no tension whatsoever. Luckily it was on a Monday and was able to find a Fleetwood dealer thank's to the Fleetwood Service number. I contacted Jeff Shaw of Newcastle RV in Brunswick, GA and he told me he would have the necessary part overnighted by Fleetwood to arrive Wednesday and he would have it installed first thing Thursday. It was installed and they had us back on the road within 2 hours. Thank you Jeff! And I'm glad I bought the extended Warranty as it would have been over $800 out of pocket. $400 for the part, 2 hours installation and $250 out of my pocket to have it shipped overnight. By the way, carry some strong bungees and some heavy gauge wire to strap the leg up as I had to do beause if your in my situation you'll have to get it to the repair facility. I had to drive 80 miles from Savannah to Brunswick with bungees, wire and duct tape holding the leg in place. Can you imagine if it had fallen in route?
