My propane detector was going off anytime I was on the road and not running the generator. I also had it going off when I was running propane heat. After I checked the house batteries and topped them off (I was bad), the problem went away. I think that the 12 volt feed affects the sensitivity of the detector.
Interesting. We have had this problem on and off. The dealer even replaced the propane detector once, but it still happens occasionally. Our bigger problem has been keeping the propane fridge running while on the road and now that we think we have that solved we will now know what to do when the detector starts going off. Thanks for the information.
