Leaky front wheel seals
We had a problem early last season with a leaky front hub seal that resulted in a cracked rotor and ruined break pads on the passenger side of the coach. We were convinced that the problem was caused by a very poorly maintained road we traveled on during one of our first trips of the season. Less than a year later the problem was back again but this time the service tech realized that the problem might be caused by inferior plastic calipers that cause the center caps to overheat and become distorted and leak thus causing the rotors to crack and also ruin the brake pads if things get that far. Calipers on newer models were changed to metal from plastic and evidently do not cause the problem. Our PA is a 2004. Our extended warranty did cover about 1/2 of the repair bill both times.
