For those keeping score at home, I figured out how to operate my tester and confirmed that the red with green stripe is positive, white with red stripe is negative ("05 Pace 36D)
Since red is usually always positive, why use a red stripe on the negative lead???
Pump in and working OK. I removed some carpeting I put in to reduce noise guessing that it may have added to the heat problem. The old pump was untouchably hot and it had not been running??
