The trick with the screen door is when both the door and screen door are connected, there is a small button on the door latch that contacts the push button on the screen door. If this button is worn it will not completely close the catch on the screen door. This is visible when the screen is attached to the door. Check to see if the screen catch is fully depressed when both doors are together. If not, the screen will hang up when opening. I have screwed a small screw into the button which depresses the screen catch enough to clear the screen latch.
