I would think blowing out your water lines would be more than adequate for winterizing. Here in the high desert we get occasional freezes that occur in the early mornings and I just turn the furnace on to 55 for those few hours. We use out rig durning winter so I always have water in my lines.
I drain my water tank 2 times a year and flush the water heater at the same time.
