More problems on my 2004 Pace Arrow, 37C. I haven't even checked the water heater suggestions and find my generator has varnish troubles. I was quoted $350+ to replace the carburetor and new fuel filter that is an upgrade along with the carb. Can I replace it myself? Can I clean the carb with a spray? Do I add a cleaner to the gas tank?
Please advise,

Mell, I have had very good luck disolving varnish on outboard motor carbs with Berryman's. If you can get it off, fill it full and let it soak for a couple of days. It helps to remove the jets but make sure you count the turns when you remove the screw or you will have additional problems! If you cana't remove it but can spray Berryman's into the carb that will sometimes help also. I wouldn't worry about the small amount that could drain into the tank as a few ounces of Berryman's won't hurt the big engine. If the generator will run at all yo can spray it directly into the air intake of the carb.
