I just drained my fresh tank into a 29gal plastic bin which is in my belly box just to the left of my entry door. I disconnected the inlet from my fresh tank to the pump. I took a garden hose "Y" splitter, and plumbed the single end into the water pump. I then took the right side of the "Y" and plumbed that to a 4' peice of 5/8" hose that goes to the bottom of the plastic bin. I poured 6 gals of antifreeze in there and winterized all of my water lines by starting with the shower.
Now everything is winterized, AND...we can continue to flush, as we're camping for the entire winter. Nice to be able to use the our own bathroom when we really need to, like when you wake up at 2am and really have to go :)
I'm going to use a second bin on the other end of the "Y" and partially fill it with fresh water, so we can feed the water heater if we're going to be there for a longer period of time, so we can wash dishes. Then just hit the bypass and take the plug out to drain it when we leave.
