SO my new roof is on the Moho. Was taling to the Service tech and mentioned how my engine battery wasn't charging when connected to the shore power and he said that that battery never charges while connected to shore power. He said the only way that battery is charged is via the altenator. is that true?
No...that's completely false. The Battery Control Center (BCC) controls what batteries get charged when. So when the BCC senses 12VDC current from the converter, it first energizes the relays to charge your house batteries. A few seconds later, it will energize the relays to allow charging of the chassis battery as well. Easily seen by watching the voltage display for the two battery banks on the Intellitec panel. Their labeled "Main" and "Aux". If both of those read over 12.5VDC then they are both being charged.
You may want to check the fuses in the BCC. I had this same issue once, and had a blown fuse, forget which one.
