Hi, We have a 06 Pace Arrow 36B, and we have had our share of problems, but most with our dealer. The two slide outs in the living room have been giving us porblems. The kitchen one would get stuck going out, luckily it came in all righ. The other one very slow. We brought it back while it was under warrenty and they said they put in a new motor. After warrenty it happened again. I called the factory and Fleet wood was most gracious and told us to bring it back to the dealer and they would authorize it to be repaired again. The bottom drawer in the galley slides open everytime we turn. The cushions go flying off the dinette but luckily that seems to be all. Although Workhorse just sent us a clip to take to a dealer for a recall. The pain is the nearest one is 50 miles away.
I had the same problem with the big kitchen drawers. I found a different style of the closing mechanism at the dealer, it looks like to opposing hooks that interlock when closed. I removed the stock one and replaced with this...no more problems. My slides have always been slow, the kitchen slide will stop going out and I let off the button and press again and it will then go out (I do this with a window cracked open). - seatecExplorerHello fellow Pace arrow owners. I have searched but not yet found a write up about winterizing a late model Pace Arrow for people like me who are afraid they are going to forget something and have a damaged MH come next season.
Can anybody do a small write up on how to go about it on a late model Pace Arrow?
thanks - dkingdoeExplorer

We have the '06 Pace Arrow 36B, and love every inch of it. We had a few warranties issues that have been taken care of, and all seems to be working at the moment. After you get your slide-motor problem resolved you might want to try this ... One thing that I have found out with our slides is that when we put ours IN or OUT I make sure either a window or the door or one of the vents is slightly open. It lets the slides move IN or OUT faster. Takes the strain off the motors. (suction)
We also had problems with the 2 drawers under the stove coming open everytime we made a turn. We had our dealer (under warranty) or you can do it, move that center latch to one corner and install another latch on the other corner of the drawers, and every once in a while I have to tighten the tensions screws, because they do tend to loosen during travel. And my cushions also go flying off the dinette ... so just before we take off I just slide the back cushions - in an X form - under the dinette table.
I'm waiting on our clip from Workhorse. As a matter of fact I called them the other day and they told me that they have not sent out all the letters yet because they are waiting for more clips to be sent to them from GMC. They say I could go to a Workhorse dealer, and they could order one and have it there faster. I ask if this was something that we should be concerned with if we waited too long to have it replaced, because we are leaving this week for a 2000 mile round trip. They said NO, but it would need to be replaced at our 1st convenient time, and that it needed to be done within the next 2 years at the most. So when we get home we'll have that done. - runagroundExplorerA short note about those that have reported an order from the bathroom. Over the rear passenger tires is a square box on the subflooring that has 8 screws. The "P" trap for the shower is in this space. In my rig I had water leaking (we had been using the shower quite a bit that week) around the bath area. I began my search, at first I thought it was the water heater. Long story short, the fitting at the shower had cracked filled up the "P" trap cover and it over flowed and caused the leak to show. Don't know how long it may have been leaking but not over flowing. When I took off the cover I could see where the grey water soap scum had sit in the cover. I always thought something was not right but then the odor would go away, water must have evaporated between uses. I replaced the fitting with a flexable rubber coupling and no problems. The odor was never real bad, my wife thought I was nuts she couldn't smell nothing, maybe I am nuts but I feel better about it now. Undue the 4 screws on the access cover below the shower door, there is a bunch of grey expandable foam (for sound proofing) around the shower P trap. I took the stopper out of the sink to plug the shower drain, filled the shower pan with water, then pulled the plug, water leaked out of the shower piping just above the P trap not a large amount but steady, I could feel it with my hand. Really a flimsy connection, it broke inside the fitting you can not see it from the outside of the fitting. Hope this helps someone.

Put window awnings on all windows on the drivers side. 1- 11 ft on slide, 1- 6ft on hall windows, 1 - 3ft on bedroom escape window. They really make a difference, keeps things a lot cooler and can open windows when it rains. Don't have to keep the shades closed to block out the sun. Most installers sid they couldn't put an awning on the living room slide said it wouldn't fit. Paul came up with the answer, Carefree awnings, looks factory (if that's a good thing :).
I am glade they worked for you, they sure do make a big difference with the heat and rain. - runagroundExplorerPut window awnings on all windows on the drivers side. 1- 11 ft on slide, 1- 6ft on hall windows, 1 - 3ft on bedroom escape window. - bricotExplorerThe previous owner had a CB installed, big nasty antenna on the side that would beat the top of the rv, had it replaced with a shorter more rigid black antenna and now my reception stinks. Need to see if they make a signal booster or something ...
What are you talking about when you are referring to awnings? Are you replacing the existing slide out awnings? Or are you putting little awnings directly over some of the windows? - FreshAirExplorer

Thanks Paul, byb the way got the carefree window awanings you suggested, no one thought they would work, i insisted they would.....they look and work great.
What windows are you talking about? Did you find one that would fit the big dinette slide as I think the 37' & 36' are the same? I'm interested. Thanks.
