I have a 2007 Safari Simba on a Workhorse W-22 chassis. 8.1 GMC engine with a 1000 Allison Tranny. The combination of engine and transmission has been pretty much bullet proof. As stated before there was a recall on the brakes several years ago. Can't imagine one not having been repaired, but you should check to make sure. We have had plenty of power for anything we wanted to do. We pull a 4 door Jeep Sahara. One of the complaints I see on the forum about gasser's is the noise in the cockpit. We do not have that problem at all.
