If the OP is licensed to drive in MD, then he needs to obtain a Class B non-commercial license to legally drive a non-commercial vehicle over 26,000 lbs in the state of MD. This applies in any state that he is in and driving a >26,000 lbs vehicle.
Since he does not currently own a motorhome, he asking someone to lend him one and train him how to drive. For insurance reasons, I would be disinclined to do something like this. After 20+ years living in Maryland, I never heard of any commercial driving schools for class A motorhomes where the school provided the motorhome. If he had a good friend who owned a motorhome, then he might have a chance. Otherwise, I don't have a solution.
