Ever so slight update: Well, there's always quirks with new RVs. Whether its a low cost 'entry level' unit, a $3M prevost, or a Newmar somewhere in between. Ours is/was no exception to that rule, haha.
The first one we just found out (not really a problem or quirk, but just part of getting things set up): Apparently, Ford does not wire anything to the charge line in the 7 pin trailer connector at the back. I have always had a charge line set up to our vehicle we tow to keep the battery charged up. Since no power on that charge line, towed vehicle not getting charged. We were OK for the 2 hour trip to the campground we are at now, but the 8 hour trip home this weekend will be a different story. After a phone call with the Summit RV service manager (where we bought the rig), found that Newmar actually run this wire for you, from just behind the 7 pin connector at the back, up to the front of the Motorhome and out to the dashboard. They just don't connect it at either end, for whatever reason. Soo, later today we going in town to get some connectors, wires, inline fuse, etc. and connect that wire up before we head home.
Only other (very minor) issue: In the middle of the coach, under the awning, where the two gutter channels meet, it looks like there is an ever so slight gap. Enough of a gap that you can see daylight there, and when air conditioner is running, condensation from it drips through the gap, under the awning. We are going to bring it by the dealer on the way home this weekend, to get that addressed (I thinking 5 minutes with a caulk gun will fix).
Other than that....All is good, and we are happy, happy, happy. :)
