Looking to upgrade to class A from C

Wife and I have been looking to upgrade to a class A and have somewhat narrowed it down to 2. Winnebago Vista lx 35f and Thor Hurricane 32n. Both floor plans work for both of us but would like some input as far which one may be better. I know about the quality control issues just wanted to know how some of you have had to deal with each mfg and what you experience was. We are planning to be out longer with this new one so any info would be most helpful.
Thank you

  • I normally would have said Winnebago, HOWEVER, do some research on the Schwintek slides before you buy. You may want to look at other manufacturers. Here is a link to a Schwintek discussion: Schwintek Slide
  • We have anew Tiffin Allegro A ordered currently, but our big three also included Newmar and Winnebago. The Thor units looked nice inside, especially the cabinet works, but some fit and finish parts were just not correct. I must admit, that the Thor pricing was lower than the others, I wonder why?
We also are moving to a gasser A from our Jayco Greyhawk, after only two years because we love this camping/ travel thing and all the great people that we have met already!
    God bless America
  • I have a 98 Winnebago adventurer and ive only been a class a owner for a year. I think what impresses me about Winnebago is ive downloaded all sorts of manuals for it. diagrams on everything is online. im working right now on some delamination and its not winne fault and ive talked to Winnebago and the winne parts store across the street from Winnebago and everyone has been so helpful. you would've thought I had bought a new one not a used 1998. anyways id buy another one just on that.
