If you take cash you will get a better deal, we use cash all the time. I wouldn't think of using a CC or Check in Mexico.....

That's who we used. Bought progressive sun glasses for my girl and some for my wife as well. It's not the biggest optical store there, however.

I get a lot dental work done there and save a pile of money, but when I checked on eye glasses at several places down there they were not much less than Costco where I buy my eye wear in the US.:)

I see the same guy on his bicycle stopping at all the eye glass sales offices, picking up and delivering. Obviously the glasses are all ground, made at the same optical warehouse. Only difference is going to be the price charged by the retailer.

Almost all the Doctors and Dentist in Los Algadones have been educated in the U.S.! My friends that go down there spend the night in Yuma, AZ. or Winterhaven, CA.

My wife had glasses made a couple of weeks ago at Meyer Optical in Los Algadones. Took 2 1/2 hours at a cost of $100 vs. $250 stateside. Quality is exactly the same. Next year I'm taking my new prescription there to get it filled.

This year we ran into the places requiring cash - no cards or checks.....the dentist didn't tell us that before we went in for appointment. But they took our credit/debit card anyway and charged us $8.00 to use it.
