YOu say it stops blowing COLD air, is it still blowing air, just not cold, or is it not blowing (if not blowing check the defroster vents, Tie or tape a bit of ribbon over the PASSENGER side Defroster vent, it will detect if the air has been diverted.
I ask about a hard accelration cut out on the compressor and blower, I mean it makes sense to me to cut them off If I put "The pedal to the metal" as they say. I was told, by experts, they do not do this (So much for that reply)
But low vacuum will divert the blow to the defroster vents.. And that has happened to me. I know you said they checked it, but they may have missed something.
