Yes, very simple fix as long as you can access the overflow hose. Easiest way is to add more hose and get the bend up higher. Sometimes you can add a "T" to the line at the highest point. With the "T" mounted up side down, you run a second hose off of the "T" to a higher point. This way when it tries to siphon, it pulls air in, instead of water from the tank.
Others have added a valve to theirs so that they can close the valve while driving. This can be problematic if you don't remember to open the valve.
