You are overthinking your problem. ALL LP does is vaporize the Liquid in the tank. You then take that hi pressure vapor to the Regulator and drop it to 11 inches w/c. Your Regulator is BAD. Replace it. Just a coincidence that it happened after you filled it. For the other poster, there is NO WAY to introduce air into a purged cylinder or one that has been in use by filling the LP container. UNLESS you inject the air with a Air nozzle valve from a Air Compressor. Doug
Reading your post again---When you fill you fill with LIQUID LP. The filler did screw up, but that would not cause your present problem or cause any problem. ONLY if they caused Liquid LP to flow out and enter the LP regulator. IF that happened the LP regulator diaphragm would crack and you would have a LP leak at the regulator. You have a 30 year old Regulator-----REPLACE it regardless.
