Huh. I responded but it didn't appear. If I wind up with a double-post I apologize. My response went something like this:
I ALWAYS over think things - thanks for bringing me back to earth. I ordered a new regulator (the newer version of the Marshall Brass unit that's in there now).
Unless anyone disagrees, I'm going to take out the leak detector too. It serves no purpose anymore. As I said, there's a plunger you're supposed to push to check for bubbles. It must have seized up long ago because I can't budge it.
