Regarding the 9 sales number for Lazy Daze. I've been in factory numerous times. It is a fairly small operation. It looks like several motorhomes are in the process of being built at any one time. Usually there is two or three floor models on display. My gut guess is more than 9 annually. Both from activity at the factory and what I'm seeing on the road. I'm seeing more new ones than would be expected if sold at exotic car levels. The newer ones are distinctive from older ones due to changes in the E series and paint schemes. I've occasionally chatted with owners of new ones in campgrounds. If the serial numbers are sequential, maybe sometime I can check that of a new one and compare it to my '11.
Lazy Daze does a lot of repair work on their older units. Paint jobs, body work, major repairs. This may account for a very substantial percentage of their business. The shop is very busy every time I've been in there.
Wood framing: They are very conservative about changes. They probably have the wood work close to perfection-and have a time tried system for construction. If I could say one thing about the LD, it would be the quality control of construction is outstanding.
