- AikenRacerExplorerOur trip to Magnolia Springs State Park was great. Very nice and small campground. Ranger very nice. But don't eat at Colemans Lake Restaurant, it was nasty and expensive...
- johnhicksExplorerAs I recall (see my blog fugawetribe.com fwiw) just about all sites are huge and fairly level. Nothing's truly lakefront; it's just a big circle. The nature trail is just a trail through the woods.
The most interesting thing is the War Between the States (to be politcally correct to our southern members) prison camp. No you can't go dig up stuff but the history is fascinating.
I'll stop there again. - Dance_ChickExplorerHave stayed there 2 summers for a family reunion. The other family members stayed in their cabins, which are nice. At the time we had a 38', and they accommodated us fine. Larger than a 38' would be fine, also. They have a few 50 amp sites that are not reservable, but are first-come, first served. You can reserve a site, just not site specific. We really liked the CG. It's a nice park and would go back.
- TwomedExplorerPretty park... we had one of the first sites on the left... lakeview, huge site.
- sdianel_-acct_cExplorerAlthough we've never been, just for curiosity, I checked their reservations page and it says they do have a few 40' sites with water and electric. It also shows a photo which looks like it will accommodate big rigs. I also checked www.rvparkreviews.com and it got fair reviews. You can also look at the location on www.googlemaps.com and use earth view and zoom to see the campground. It's near the lake on the right. Looks good to me. Pleae give us a report after you go. We're always looking for new camping spots.
