manual vs electric awning?
Anyone changed out their manual awning for an electric? What brand did you go with and who did the change out for you? I have a 1999 Tradewinds and am considering the possibility of making the switch...

I had a manual (A&E) for 20 years on various campers and although they were "ok", different parts - usually the top and bottom clips, kept breaking due to stress.
I stopped using the awning several years ago;
I recently bought a TT with an electric awning (Carefree?) and love it. I use it all the time; Hold the button down for 15 seconds and out pops the awning. It has an interesting feature that if more one of the arms senses more than 25? lbs, then it will lower automatically and let any water run off the awning.
Also it high winds, the arms have gas rams which help with the buffeting.
I would not go back to an manual -
