Our previous RV was a 24' current one is a 26' and the dash air did not keep the coach cool in either one at 110 but we did not try at lower temps.
It may depend upon what year the chassis is under the 24 foot motorhome.
Ours is a 2005-year Ford E450 chassis and it's cab A/C is indeed powerful. We've never been able to stress it to the limit nor overheat the V10 engine's cooling system ... but we've driven up grades in only 105 degree temperatures. It was keeping the whole coach area cool in these temperatures.
However, and this may be an important however, the Ford E450 has beefed up cooling over the Ford E350. We did not know this when shopping for our 24 foot Class C, but luckily learned it after we had purchased it. I would recommend that if the OP looks for a Ford chassis based 24 foot Class C, they try to get the E450 chassis for a variety of reasons, even though the E350 chassis is rated for the raw weight of most 24 foot Class C coaches.
Our 24 foot Itasca happens to be white color and has about 3 inches of insulation in the roof, which also helps to make possible the use of only cab air when on the open road.
