I would almost agree with you BigRabbitMan, but I can not imagine the vent lid motor running continuously after it is turned off and then back on. That would make no sense whatsoever. I would also think that I could open the vent lid with the fan speed turned off and then turn it on and it should work extracting air. Presently, the fan motor must be turned on when you are opening the lid.
There is no rain sensor.
I've emailed Fantastic Vent and hopefully they will respond.
