Many refrigerators have this problem. Sometimes debris hangs up in the drain. Popcorn seed, mold etc.
Try cleaning from the inside, after a complete defrost (off for 12 hours+). Find the drain and flush with a little hot water with a bit of bleach.
A trick I have done while working on some people refrigerators, is to put a paper-clip rapped over the defrost element and hanging into the defrost drain hole. This will help melt the ice plug in the drain.
