- GordysvetteExplorerCoach Care is checking all areas , I should know on Monday.
- GordysvetteExplorerDon , I had full service on Gen at coach care last week and I had them plug it in and check for any faults they said there were none . When I started to leave the check engine light came on , I had them come out and look at it they had me turn it off and wait 5 minutes to restart to reset computer. Check engine light did not come on . The next day is when the check engine and battery high voltage issued started . I'll call them Monday . Thanks
- GordysvetteExplorerThanks Dennis , I'll check them .
- DSDP_DonExplorer"Gordysvette".....How cold was it when you started the coach? If it was pretty cold, your fuel rail heaters are activated and draw a lot of power, often causing the opposite situation, low voltage. You may have been pulling a lot of power for the fuel heaters and when they stopped, the coach glitched and was still trying to keep up. I would wait to see if it happens again. Just about everything has a computer attach and can do stupid things.
You can go into the codes on your dash by togging through your display window to diagnostics and see if it threw a code. Then call Freightliner with the code and see what they say. They're very good on the phone. - Executive45Explorer IIICheck the wires on the alternator. Make sure they're tight and/or attached....Dennis
