MH friendly gas stations

Has anyone found an app that shows RV gas stations that can accommodate motor homes with a toad. So many times I pull off the road to fuel up only to see the pumps are facing the wrong way to allow easy in and out or the driveway is to steep and trailer tongue will drag.
  • I like the FJ RV ports, and have never had a problem getting in or out. Plus they're always clean and have fresh windshield washer fluid and towels. I also watch for stations on a corner; many have the lanes set up so that you can drive in off of one street and exit straight ahead on another.
  • Sometimes I pay a little more because I want it to be easy in and easy out ... have been in a few cramped place

I've found that the Flying J stations are generally fine (better than Pilot, although Pilot stations are mostly OK as well).

I have .gpx files for FlyingJ (not Pilot), Loves, and TA locations. They're based on the downloaded lat/lon files from the company websites, which means they often don't match the exact location, but they usually good enough to get you close. And, of course, they're always subject to becoming outdated over time. PM me if you'd like me to e-mail you the files.

  • Flying J is NOT always RV friendly for gas, diesel is ok because you can use truck lanes. I am glad to have a 500 mile fuel range and always start looking at 1/2 tank. Loves fueling stations all seem to be good but not always on routes that I choose.
  • F/J here as well.
You'll hear some complaints about one thing or another from a few, but most F/Js are easy in & out. My wife normally goes in & handles the card part & then when I'm done fueling & pre road check I pick her up as I'm pulling out in front of the store.
It can sometimes take a little time, waiting in the RV lanes for folks dumping their tanks & such, but that is just part of the stop on a trip & something I know we have to deal with.
