Microwave doesn't work on the genny....
It is quite strange actually... It has power and turntable rotates but it doesn't cook. Get to the campground, plug in, and it works fine. I can't imagine that a 4500 watt gen won't run a microwave...

You need to get a Voltage reading on Genset. From your description, the Genset voltage may be too low. Just enough to power the turntable and panel, nut not enough to power the heating supply. Doug
