Hello - thank you for all your feedback! I have been looking at a 2004 Winnebago Rialta FDD with full real Sealys Matress in the back. Since I'm am 30 year old single traveling musician, its important to me that I have as small a space as possible that is live-able and easily maneuverable through cities. I like that the Rilata gets better gas mileage than the roadtreks or pleasureways or even Explorer Dodge, however I am concerned what you have all written about not being able to get the vehicle serviced easily. Does this mean that when I break down I may need to tow it very far in order to get it serviced? Does this include inside repairs to "living quarters" as well as engine and vehicle repairs?
Someone said a Rialta is a class c? I dont believe this is correct. The one I'm looking at is 21 feet, and does not have the overhead sleeping compartment, and is built on a volkswagon chassis -so what makes it a class c?
20 gallon tank info really helps me - thanks!
If I dont go with the Rialta FDD - then its back to Roadktrek ( smaller anyway which is good for me, I need stealth and easy for parking on streets) - but as to the gentlemen who suggested the 1980's older vehicle - I'm pretty scared of buying a vehicle that is very old ( 20 years or close to ) and traveling alone in it. I really want to feel that I'm in something reliable - and would rather take a loan out and finance a newer vehicle than buy something old. I could be wrong -but traveling alone just makes me feel like anything older than a 2000 is too old for me. And even that that year, I can't find a thing cheaper than 20K.
The dodge I was looking at did sell - and I'm bummed because it was a great price ( I know now ) and a good vehicle.
