Hwy 12 was a favorite of ours with our 40' motorhome towing. It's extremely beautiful but is twisty. However, there aren't hills.... it mostly follows the river. The only hill is Lolo Pass and we've done much worse. It's not bad at all.

We never used the Motor Carrier atlas - too restrictive.
