Mixing oil types (5w-20 mixed with 10w-30)
My RV has the ford v-10 in it and I noticed today the oil is closer to the "low" level than the "full" level on the dip stick. I have a few quarts of 10w-30 (might be 5w-30) but I was going to top it ...

Better to put it in and not know than no run it low. Unless the cans say so, in most cases all engine oils mix with no problem. Of course, my answer will probably generate ten pages of both do's and don'ts, so be prepared. only thing, if your oil in it now has some fantastic type of miracle magic in it. adding something different might dilute the magic, especially if you believe all the advertising hype. I don't like to mis regular and synthetic oils, but both do the same job, and are designed to be compatiable.
