It's between the low mark and the full mark. No oil needed. Even if it uses so much oil in 400 miles that it dips a bit below the low mark, it won't hurt anything. You might take a quart with you, and check it about halfway into the drive, but chances are you won't need to add it.
That said, adding a half-quart of the 10W30 should not harm it, either.
Sounds good. Thanks for the advice everyone. Will do a radiator and coolant flush along with a oil change when I get it back. Already well over a grand into this thing in maintence costs and I haven't had it a full day! :E
Welcome to the wonderful world of RV ownership. Yes add enough oil to bring it up to full. The reason I say this is you don't have a history with this engine. You don't know how much oil it is using. It may not use any during your trip. That would be a good thing. So what if you are out the cost of a quart of oil. You are better off adding the oil.
