its a tuner, it is like a hand held computer game, you plug into the obd port and it comes up with instructions on what to do. It will download your stock setting and put in memory, it then downloads whatever the new commands are that are programed for the vehicle. It supposed to change some of the ecu programs and transmission points.
I have a hypertek economiser on my F350 diesel, they do not make anything for the V10 thus the going with the 5 star which is RV specific in application.
forgot to add, once the program is downloaded on to the computer the device is disconnected leaving the port open for a scan gauge or whatever else. Dont throw away as the original codes are stored so put it in a safe place to reinstall the stock tunes if need be for whatever reason.
