that's extremely abnormal for those to last 9 years BUT if all u run is LPG fridge circuit and some 12V lights etc that is possible; however if your running a 2 or 3 k converter and running TV, fridge Dual furnaces etc etc they wear out a lot quicker and obviously would need 4 not 2 to avoid constant recharge
I still personally think the 235 amp US battery(there not cheap) are the best bang for the money and you cant beat a 3 year warranty
