Which is why we have deadbolt locks on our doors that require a key on BOTH sides to open. We keep a hidden key near each door for our own use.
As to the OP, a wireless connected security system is the best bet. We had some friends that had their MH (class c on a Ford chassis) that was burglarized while they were sleeping. They figured that someone could the VIN number through the windshield and had a crooked Ford parts guy make a key.
